Pastor Krista Vingelis is excited to be serving as the Interim Pastor at Peace after serving as Interim at Christ the Servant Lutheran in Reston, VA and as fully-called Pastor to these ELCA congregations from 2006-2022: Hooversville Lutheran Parish (Hooversville, PA), Our Saviour Lutheran (Queens, NY), Trinity Lutheran (Porterville, CA), New Jerusalem Lutheran (Lovettsville, VA). She has always done pastoral contract work with Holy Trinity Lutheran (Falls Church, VA). She received her M.Div. with a Concentration in Youth and Family Ministry in 2006 from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN and her BA in Theater from George Mason University in 1992.. Pastor Krista has also served as a children’s theater director, working with the Reston Community Center’s Young Actors Theater and directing a production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” for the Anacostia Playhouse. She has created and directed several church performing arts camps and programs while also being invested in helping her congregations serve their communities and work for justice in the world. She loves to sing, hang out with her furry friend Chewie, and attend concerts in the local park by her apartment. She loves spending time with her friends and family and hopes one day to enjoy life by the water.
