Beading
The Beading for Haiti workshop at Peace Lutheran was formed in February 2014 under the auspices of the Beading for Haiti workshops established at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church campuses in Fairfax and Clifton, VA. We meet at Peace every Monday (except for Federal Holidays) at 10:00 am in the classrooms across from the sanctuary.
Our group is committed to the creation and sale of jewelry (designed using paper bead rolling techniques learned in Haiti). Necklaces, earrings, and bracelets are all made with hand-rolled paper beads from various paper sources, including cereal boxes, magazines, and posters; paper beads are then protected with several coats of a sealer to make them water-resistant.
We send all profits to the Village of Hope School and Clinic in Haiti.
For more information, contact the office.
