Raising Awareness
Outreach & Advocacy
The Lutheran Outreach and Advocacy ministry at Peace seeks to know and love our neighbors near and far. We do this through building relationships within our community and raising awareness about challenges and issues that concern us and our neighbors, as well as through direct service and advocacy efforts.
In early 2020, the Peace Lutheran Outreach and Advocacy team conducted a congregational survey to help us determine which social issues were most pressing for our community. These commitments would help guide our focus and work. The top three concerns that emerged from survey respondents’ answers are 1) Racial justice, 2) Food insecurity, and 3) Climate change.
