Working Together
Our Partnerships
ACCA (Annandale Christian Community in Action)
Peace is a founding member of the Annandale Christian Community in Action (ACCA), formed in 1967 as a coalition of churches coming together to serve the poor in Annandale. Peace remains an active part of ACCA. In addition to significant financial support and representation, we also collect weekly food donations for the pantry. Ron Maree is the official representative (OR) of Peace.
LSSNCA is one of six resettlement agencies in Virginia that work to resettle refugees and help newcomers navigate the systems in the U.S. through various programs and services. Peace has supported LSSNCA through the use of space for programming, coordinating volunteers to assist with special events from time to time, and with a special offering collected throughout the month of September.
ICD (Interfaith Communities for Dialogue)
Interfaith Communities for Dialogue (ICD) was founded in 2004 by Peace Lutheran’s pastor, Mark Olsen, and other religious leaders in Fairfax County to bring about a greater understanding of other faith traditions and stand together against hate and discrimination. This year, Peace applied to rejoin ICD’s coalition of ten other houses of worship. Peace’s application was approved by ICD in April. ICD works with member organizations to share resources and expertise and raise a unified voice against social injustice.
