Farm Bill Info Session & Fellowship

July 30, 2023 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Spending on nutrition comprises nearly 80% of all spending allocated in the Farm Bill. Of that, 95% goes to SNAP. If these funds are reduced, people go hungry. Be sure to stay after the 10:30 service for fellowship on July 30. At that time, Michael Fay will speak and answer questions about how SNAP works and why it is important. Michael retired from USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service after 30+ years of service in Washington D.C. and overseas and currently volunteers as market manager at the Annandale Farmers Market at Mason District Park in Annandale. He is also a volunteer for Britepaths, a private voluntary organization that administers SNAP at the market. This is the third in a series of planned events about the Farm Bill.
