Pastor Sarah sees her primary responsibility as helping people know God’s love and follow Christ in their daily lives. Pastor Sarah was ordained in 2007 and was called to Peace in 2012. Prior to becoming a pastor, she served in the Peace Corps in Malawi and worked for the Center for Global Education and Experience at Augsburg College in both Minneapolis and Namibia.
She went to Valparaiso University, Yale Divinity School and the Pacific Lutheran School of Theology. She loves the outdoors, house projects, pottery, ultimate Frisbee, and time spent with friends and family – most of whom live in Minnesota. Pastor Sarah serves on the Synod Council of the Metropolitan Washington D.C. Synod of the ELCA, is a Board Member of the Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions, and convenes the Synod’s Climate Justice Team. She is married to Ridgeway Addison and they have two elementary school-aged daughters. She is the author of the book, God Holds You: A Pandemic Chronicle. Email Pastor Sarah.
