Rev. Brian Erickson, Pastor Emeritus

Brian L. Erickson retired this past January from Faith Lutheran in Arlington, where he had served as Senior Pastor since 2010. He had served previous parishes in West Fargo, Fargo, Dunseith, and Grand Forks, ND; St. Paul and Rothsay, MN;, Hemet, CA, and Phoenix, AZ. He also taught for Augsburg College in Minneapolis in their study abroad program in Mexico.
Pastor Brian is originally from North Dakota. He received his BA in Religion and Philosophy from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN., and his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN.
Brian will have been ordained 38 years this coming November. He and Mary have been married for 32 years, and live in Shirlington. Mary teaches Grade 1-3 in the Montessori Program at Drew Model School in Arlington. Their daughter, Jessi, is a Teaching Assistant at Meta Montessori School in Arlington, and their son, Brian, is Policy Analyst for the ACLU’s Center for Border Rights in Las Cruces, NM. On September 24 Pastor Brian will be marrying son, Brian, and Sara Melton from Long Island, NY, at Peace Lutheran Church in El Paso, TX.
His interests include reading, writing, historical travel (see his blog), golfing, riding bike, walking, working out, collecting baseball cards and sports autographs, wine tasting, texting his kids, attending sporting events, and following the Vikings, Twins, Az.
