Rev. Sarah S. Scherschligt, Lead Pastor

Pastor Sarah sees her primary responsibility as helping people know God’s love and follow Christ in their daily lives. Pastor Sarah was ordained in 2007 and was called to Peace in 2012.  Prior to becoming a pastor, she served in the Peace Corps in Malawi and worked for the Center for Global Education at Augsburg College in both Minneapolis and Namibia. Jim Nice

Jim is Peace’s Creative Worship Leader.  He leads a worship service once a month that provides an alternative to traditional worship by incorporating varied musical styles and innovative elements.
As part of this role, Jim leads the Messengers of Peace – a contemporary music group.  An avid musician, Jim has spent many years with the Messengers as a singer as well as a violin and guitar player.  Through this position, Jim sees an opportunity to reach out to the surrounding community with God’s message through song.


Rev. Brian Erickson, Pastor Emeritus

Brian L. Erickson retired this past January from Faith Lutheran in Arlington, where he had served as Senior Pastor since 2010. He had served previous parishes in West Fargo, Fargo, Dunseith, and Grand Forks, ND; St. Paul and Rothsay, MN;, Hemet, CA, and Phoenix, AZ. He also taught for Augsburg College in Minneapolis in their study abroad program in Mexico. (more…)

Dr. Adela Peeva

Dr. Adela Peeva is Peace’s Music Director and organist. Dr. Peeva was born in Bulgaria and graduated with a DMA in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music from the University of Miami, Florida in May 2008. She also holds a Master of Choral Conducting with a cognate in Organ from The Florida International University in Miami, FL and a Master in Choral Conducting from the Bulgarian State Music Academy. She has more than 16 years of professional Church Music experience, five of those at Peace.


Paul Sticha

Paul Sticha has directed the handbell choirs and the Messengers of Peace – a contemporary music group – for nearly thirty years.  A gifted vocalist, guitar player, pianist and handbell composer, Paul combines excellent musicianship with a deep faith.


Kris Rinnert

Kris Rinnert, Parish Administrator, is glad to have the opportunity to serve such a warm and welcoming congregation. She was raised in the Lutheran church and one of her earliest memories was complimenting the organist every time she played her favorite hymn, “I Love to Tell the Story,” hoping that she would play it more often. Nadia Fitzcharles

Nadia serves the Children, Youth, and Family Ministry at Peace. She is currently in seminary at Wesley Theological Seminary in D.C., pursuing a Masters in Theological Studies. (more…)
