Maundy Thursday Worship and Service Project
March 28 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
An intimate service centered around the table of Christ, Maundy Thursday is the first of “The Three Days” or the “Triduum,” that spans across Good Friday and through Easter Sunday. Literally meaning “mandatum” in Latin, or “command” in English, Maundy Thursday is the day we gather to remember Jesus’ new commandment: to love one another as he has loved us. Such remembrance is patterned on the humility of our Lord as exemplified in the act of foot-washing and the giving of his own body and blood for us. Join us on March 28 for the following events:
6:00 PM – Act of Service in Remembrance of Footwashing: Join us in the fellowship hall to fill Easter Eggs for the Community Easter Egg Hunt
7:00 PM – Worship with the absolution of sin, Holy Communion with homemade bread and wine, and the ritual stripping of the altar
