The Farm Bill is the largest support of nutritional food within the U.S. School lunches, SNAP, support for women, infants and children (WIC) and incentives to buy fruits and vegetables at farmers markets are all funded by the Farm Bill. It also provides global assistance to fight hunger.  Bread for the World, a faith based advocacy organization is encouraging all of us to write our Representatives and Senators asking for full funding of this important legislation. Peace has hosted several informational sessions on the Farm Bill. Now it is time to act. Not sure who represents you? Go to Congress.gov and type in your address. Come to the fellowship hall August 27 at 11:40, learn how to write to your legislators and write a letter. Children of all ages are welcome!
