The Annandale Christian Community for Action (ACCA) is partnering again with Church World Service to host the annual Annandale CROP Hunger Walk, happening at 8 am at Lake Accotink on Saturday, October 14th. The CROP Hunger Walk raises funds to fight against hunger and the challenges of disease, disaster, and displacement around the world. CWS has provided emergency supplies such as blankets, hygiene kits and cleanup buckets to victims of tornadoes in Mississippi and floods in California, and has also worked with local agencies to support Ukrainian refugees in Moldova and Hungary. CROP Walk funds enabled CWS to provide safe water, sanitation, and renewable energy infrastructure and seeds, tools and livestock around the world.
