SAMUEL SPRINGER, PRGANIST
Samuel Springer, DMA is active in the Mid-Atlantic region as recitalist, accompanist and church musician. As a performer, Samuel has played concerts in England, the U.S. and the Caribbean. Samuel has performing large-scale choral accompaniments in works such as the Duruflé Requiem and Vierne’s Messe Solennelle with many choirs and choral groups. He was been a clinician at American Guild of Organists workshops. He has also written articles for journals such as Choir and Organ.
Samuel studied at Trinity College of Music, London, Yale School of Music, and the Peabody Conservatory of Music. He is the recipient of many awards and scholarships for organ performance. His teachers include Thomas Murray, Charles Krigbaum, Gerre Hancock and Donald Sutherland. His previous appointments were as Organist at Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, Assistant Organist at Yale Divinity School and Trinity-On-The-Green, New Haven.
Samuel is Minister of Music at Faith Presbyterian Church in Baltimore. He is on the faculties of Music at the Morgan State University and the Peabody Preparatory. He is a past music director for the Morgan State University Opera Workshop and an accompanist for the Morgan State Choir.
